This course facilitates the understanding of how to teach social studies and language arts through an integrated approach in the most effective way to children in the middle grades. Students will plan for and provide developmentally appropriate hands-on experiences with appropriate materials and the supportive environment necessary for children?s meaningful exploration and discovery and will implement those experiences in a field placement.
