This practicum is the first of two courses that will give students practical experience within the local church. Students will spend five hours per week working with a youth group and assisting the youth pastor. Two hours per month will be spent in group supervision on campus with the instructor. Students who are currently employed in a youth position at a church will be required to spend one extra hour per week in supervision with a veteran youth minister.

Set in a nontraditional atmosphere of camping and hiking, students will interact over issues pertaining to men in ministry. This class is designed to be a one-week intersession course. Pre-work will be assigned in the form of book reports and reaction papers. Enrollment is limited to 10 males.
