The first of a two-semester sequence in intermediate Latin. The course is a continuation of the study necessary to achieve fluency in reading, understanding, and translating Classical Latin. A comprehensive review of grammar is accompanied with the presentation of material beyond the scope of Introductory Latin I and II. All texts for reading and translation are presented in the original classical texts, unabridged and complete. Emphasis on the development of the periods of classical Roman literature as well as pertinent events in Roman history and culture. Prerequisite: LG 102 or equivalent.
