The majority of the clerkship is spent with a community family physician in Alabama. In addition to learning Family Practice in a one-on-one setting with the preceptors, specific learning objectives include clinical problem-solving, diagnosis and management of common medical problems, the family, health maintenance and preventive medicine, and the development of life long learning skills.
