Emphasis is placed on principles underlying physical, mental, emotional, and social development, and on methods of child study and practical implications. This course introduces methods for providing a developmentallyappropriate child care program in a home setting to include organizing home environments, establishing a daily schedule with children of different ages, building partnerships with parents, and helping children learn through play, etc. A special instruction addresses family care as a small business operation with emphasis being placed on budgeting and tax requirements.
