A survey course of American history from the end of Reconstruction until the contemporary age, emphasizing regional development, industrialization, urbanization, imperialism, World War I, the 1920s, the New Deal, World War II, and the period after the SecondWorldWar. This course will also introduce students to historiographical issues in American history and emphasize the analysis of written argumentation in the historical discipline. (Spring)
