This course uses texts from the philosophy of science to learn and apply rules of syntax, semantics, logical implication and equivalence to analyze and construct arguments in scientific and other academic languages. The course will seek to teach students to use the rules of logic, syntax, and argument to address reasoning problems based on these academic writings and to solve such problems in scientific and academic discourse and on standardized tests. Prerequisite: 4 semesters or consent of Instructor.
