Study of Native American History focusing on themes from oral narratives and other historical accounts. Course will study other expressions of history and identity such as totemic art, dance, song, and potlatch. Includes sections on classic indigenous cultures of the period from CA 1-1400 AD and the century before first sustained European contact (1400s). Writing lab required if available.
