3.00 Credits
Current legal, ethical, privacy, and security issues facing today’s Web designers. Topics include an overview of organizational security as a whole, with a focus on Web application security. Best practices for e-mail, Web design, and website hosting are also covered, as well as the services and mechanisms used to protect the infrastructure, such as firewalls, intrusion detection, access control, and cryptography.
Prerequisite:
BWM 150 AND BWM 160
-
3.00 Credits
Work experience intended to provide exposure to the practical and daily operations of an organization that designs interactive media solutions or the equivalent. Placement within a private firm, government institution or agency, corporation, or other office is based on major and/or career interests to the extent possible, culminating in a narrative report at the conclusion of the internship. This internship experience requires a minimum of 225 work experience hours, but may include more hours depending on the individual needs of the internship experience. In addition to work experience hours students are also required to satisfactorily complete the internship experience through a final employer evaluation or assessment.
Prerequisite:
BWM 250 AND BWM 252 AND BWM 254
-
4.00 Credits
Overview of human anatomy and physiology designed for non-science majors. Emphasis on the relationships between the structures and functions in each body system as well as the interrelationships among all body systems in the maintenance of homeostasis. Laboratory work complements and reinforces lecture materials.
Prerequisite:
MTH 004 OR Placement by Examination
Corequisite:
ENL 111
