BIOL 360: Ornithology

Field studies of West Virginia birds. Discussion topics include the principles of avian physiology, flight dynamics, ecology, taxonomy, and natural history. Laboratory emphasis is on sight identification of West Virginia species. This learning experience requires students to complete a research project that may lead to the completion of a capstone experience in science. The course may be taken either in conjunction with BIOL 325 as a satellite option or as a stand-alone experience requiring the student to complete a portfolio of learning experiences. Prerequisites: NSCI 120, NSCI 190, and BIOL 224. Offered concurrently with BIOL 325.
