PREREQ: MIC 101 w/ 2.0 or higher or ability to use MS Office. Mechanics of web page production starting with the absolute basics. Topics include: document structure, text elements, list elements, links, tables, framesets and images. Focuses on creating X/HTML files by hand with emphasis placed on browser compatibility and X/HTML validation.

PREREQ: WEB 110 w/ 2.0 or better (or concurrent enrollment) Introduces the elements of typography as applied to web design.Topics include planning and creating visual hierarchy with letter style, size, weight, alignment and grouping with consideration of web safe fonts, screen resolutions, Cascading Style Sheets and platform differences.

PREREQ: WEB 110 w/ 2.0 or higher or concurrent enrollment. Use Photoshop not just for its extensive image editing capabilities and built in 'save for web' feature, but also to slice complex design compositions and re-create envisioned designs into XHTML standards compliant web pages.

PREREQ: WEB 110 w/ 2.0 or higher or instructor permission. Course covers elements of web page development, design and production with intermediate to advanced use of cascading stylesheets (CSS), introduction to dreamweaver CS5, ftp tools, server-side includes and basic Javascript.

Implement Dreamweaver's extended capabilities to build forms, create image rollovers, image maps, behaviors, sprys and place multi-media files in web pages. Students will use Dreamweaver's site maintenance features to manage assets such as CSS files and images over multiple client websites. Prerequisite: WEB 120 w/ 2.0 or higher or instructor permisssion.

PREREQ: WEB 110 with 2.0 or higher. In-depth look at programming concepts, techniques and styles affecting web page design. Examines theoretical concepts that make Javascript programming unique, including problem-solving strategies.

PREREQ: WEB 120 w/ 2.0 or higher or instructor permission. An in-depth look at writing and editing techniques for electronic media w/ emphasis on the web. Learn how to write compelling, reader-friendly content. Emphasizes teamwork and building relationships with editors, designers, producers and other content generating professionals.

PREREQ: WEB 120 with 2.0 or better. Hands-on introduction to Adobe Flash CS4. Students create digital animations that incorporate text, sound, movement and build a web site that functions on multiple platforms.

2.00 Credits
Learn resources, strategies and techniques for IT job search and placement. Create and revise industry oriented resumes, cover letters, and portfolios, receive feedback. Learn job search techniques and practice interviews. Research employers, speak their language and understand the hiring processes. Learn the power of networking and connecting with industry professionals through online and live user groups, presentations and their personal networks. Prerequisite: WEB 120 w/ 2.0 or higher.

Prereq: WEB 120 and WEB 200 with a 2.0 or higher. Provides hands-on experience working on a web team with real-world client projects. Offered at the same time as WEB 210, students provide predominantly the design and development skills. The ITC 210 students provide predominantly database and programming skills.
