Quality control is covered as are lab requisitions and reports and specimen collection. This course includes the process and chain of infection, inflammatory and immune responses, stages of infectious disease, standard (and other) precautions, as well as state and federal laws and regulations. This course prepares students for subsequent courses where the actual collection and testing of various specimens will be performed.
