Prerequisites: CMST 290 / Media Project Management Practicum, or, BUS 118 / Project Management Introduction and Overview; Off-campus Practicum Mentor; Communication Coordinator’s permission; and a Student Learning / Training Contract.

An overview of computer program design and problem solving with a focus on problem analysis, program development, testing and debugging. Students will use decision and loop structures to develop a variety of programs to solve scientific and technical problems. Prereq: Computer experience and MATH 098 with a 2.0 or better. Lab fee. Learn to create and manage your own website with images, links, and multimedia. Use EXCEL for scientific calculations and to create graphs. Create a complete presentation in Powerpoint. Design and build a simple database in Access. Enhance your website with simple JavaScript programs. Along the way, you will learn to move information among various program formats, among various operating systems, through email and compressed archives. Includes introduction to computer hardware, networks, privacy, and security. Prereq: MATH 098. Lab fee. Transfers to UW as CSE/INFO 100.

Topics include objects, messages, expressions, statements, methods, classes, conditionals, iteration, arrays, and collections. Advanced concepts of modern programming that continue the ideas introduced in CSC 142. Topics include classes and interfaces, inheritance, graphics, exceptions, stream I/O, recursion, analysis of algorithms, and some dynamic structures (lists, stacks, trees). Uses Java programming language. Prereq: CSC 142 with a grade of 3.0 or better. Lab fee. Transfer class.

Learn, hands-on, how to develop the internship or job you want. Also, develop the tools and resources necessary for the internship, job search and transferring to a 4-year school. Transfer students register for item number 0010, professional/technical students register for 0011 . Computer lab fee.

Earn transferable credit while gaining experience in your field of study through an internship or current work that is related to your education/training. Course is individually tailored through collaboration by you, your instructor, and your employer. This class is a �hybrid�and is taught partially online and partially face-to-face on campus as arranged with the instructor. Students may have the option of taking this class fully online by permission of and arrangement with the instructor.
