Covers the pharmacology and physiology of both local anesthetic agents and nitrous oxide sedation. Application of knowledge of the anatomy of nerves, physiology of nerve conduction and the transmission of pain impulse, and the use of local anesthetics and nitrous oxide for pain control in the delivery of dental procedures.
