By arrangement with the instructor, the student can pursue a special topic of interest, design and carry out a project, or participate in undergraduate research (either alone or with other students) in the areas of natural product chemistry or organic analytical chemistry. Prerequisite: CHEM& 140/CHEM& 140L with a grade of 2.0 or higher, or high school chemistry with a grade of B or better. Instructor's permission is also required to enroll. Note: credits earned in this course cannot be used as a substitute for required credits in other CBC chemistry courses.
