This is a class designed to support parents/caregivers to meet the needs of their child through play and caretaking activities in the child s natural environment. Parents participate in the evaluation of their child s abilities and challenges and have learning opportunities through group meetings with other families receiving early intervention services as well as the activities in the overall Child and Family Studies program. This course is designed to provide learning opportunities in areas including child and family development, guidance techniques, developing appropriate expectations, health as well as specific information related to their child s needs.
