Diagnostic qualities and evaluation of radiographic images with emphasis on exams of the skull, entire spine from cervical to sacrum, and pelvic girdle. Part of the fifth quarter of the Medical Radiography Program. Concurrent enrollment in MRAD 216, 224, and 245. Prerequisite: A grade of "C" or better in MRAD123, 153, 214 and 244 or consent of Instructional Unit.

Introduction to pharmacology and contrast agents including medical emergencies and patient care involving IV administration. Includes competency with a venipuncture component. Prerequisite: Admission to MRAD program, Registered Imaging Specialists (RT, CNMT, RDMS) or consent of Instructional Unit.

Review of human anatomy and diseases processes visualized by radiologic modalities using plain films, computed and digital radiography. Concurrent enrollment in MRAD 154, 224, 225. Prerequisite: A grade of "C" or better in MRAD 123, 153, and214 or consent of Instructional Unit.

Fourth of seven competency based clinical rotations required for the Medical Radiography Program. Students orient to an assigned clinical education center, acquire the necessary skills to successfully image patients utilizing X ray energy, and are assessed for competency in the imaging of the skull, mandible, facial and nasal boneship, and maintenance of competency from previous clinical evaluations and experiences. Concurrent enrollment in MRAD 154, 216, 245. Prerequisite: A grade of "C" or betterin MRAD 123, 153, 214, 244 or consent of Instructional Unit. Clinical hours and locations by arrangement.

Fifth of seven competency based clinical rotations required for the Medical Radiography Program. Students orient to an assigned clinical education center, acquire the necessary skills to successfully image patients utilizing X ray energy, and are assessed for competency in the imaging of special radiographic procedures and maintenance of competency from previous clinical evaluations and experiences. Concurrent enrollment in MRAD 154, 216 and 245. Prerequisite: A grade of "C" or betterin MRAD 123, 153, 214, 244 or consent of Instructional Unit.

Sixth of seven competency based clinical rotations required for the Medical Radiography Program. Students orient to an assigned clinical education center, acquire the necessary skills to successfully image patients utilizing X ray energy. Students are assessed for competency in the imaging of all exams required for program completion according to the program checklist and maintenance of competency from previous clinical evaluations and experiences. Concurrent enrollment in MRAD 255. Prerequisite: A grade of "C" or better in MRAD 225, 245, 270 orconsent of Instructional Unit.

Seventh of seven competency based clinical rotations required for the Medical Radiography Program. Students orient to an assigned clinical education center, acquire the necessary skills to successfully image patients utilizing X ray energy. Students are assessed for competency in the imaging of all exams required for program completion according to the program checklist and maintenance of competency from previous clinical evaluations and experiences. Concurrent enrollment in MRAD 275 and 279. Prerequisite: A grade of "C" or better in MRAD 255 or consentof Instructional Unit.

Basic positioning principles, terminology, pathology, and anatomy for radiographic purposes. Lecture and lab provide discussion, and practice of trauma, special procedures and other specialized exams. Work with diverse populations and demonstrate radiation safety. Concurrent enrollment in MRAD 123, 153 and 214. Prerequisite: A grade of "C" or better inMRAD 109, 122, 143 and 152 or consent of Instructional Unit.

Lecture and lab provide discussion, demonstration and positioning of the skull, cranium, facial bones, nasal bones, and paranasal sinuses. Practice positioning and radiation safety while working with diverse populations. Concurrent enrollment in MRAD 154, 216, 224. Prerequisite: A grade of "C" or better in MRAD 123, 153, 214,244 or consent of Instructional Unit.

Etiology of disease and the impact on the human body including cultural implications. Physiologic effects of disease on body systems and the role of Diagnostic Imaging in diagnosis and treatment. Credit not allowed for both MRAD 250 and DIMAG 250. Concurrent enrollment in MRAD 225 and 270. Prerequisite: A grade of "C" or better in MRAD 154, 216, 224and 245 or consent of Instructional Unit.
