Introduces various marketing middlemen: wholesaler, retailer, broker, agent including cooperative and trade association, shippers, stores and facilitators. Discusses present-day problems and associations, shippers, stores, and facilitators. Discusses present-day problems and policies connected with distribution and sale of products, pricing, promotion, and buyer motivation. Examines variations of the marketing mix and market research, plus legal, social and ethical considerations in marketing. Writing level requisite ENG 3. Lecture 3 hours per week.

Presents fundamental aspects of personal selling, sales, ethics, and selling methods. Emphasizes professional sales techniques. Examines organization necessary for a well coordinated sales effort, including the training of sales personnel for maximum efficiency in selling and organization of the sales division within the business enterprise. Introduces sales management in planning, organizing, directing and controlling the total sales effort. Lecture 3 hours per week.

Examines the organization of the retail establishment to accomplish its goals in an effective and efficient manner. Includes study of site location, internal layout, store operations, and security. Examines the retailing mix, the buying or procurement process, pricing, and selling. Studies retail advertising, promotion, and publicity as a coordinated effort to increase store traffic. MTH 1 DEVELOPMENTAL MATHEMATICS (1-5 CR) Designed to bridge the gap between a weak mathematical foundation and the knowledge necessary for the study of mathematics courses in technical, professional, and transfer program. Topics may include arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and trigonometry. Credits not applicable toward graduation. MTH 2 ARITHMETIC (1-5 CR.) Covers arithmetical principles and computations including whole numbers, fractions, decimals, percents, measurement, graph interpretation, geometric forms, and applications. Develops the mathematical proficiency necessary for selected curriculum entrance. Credits not applicable toward graduation. Reading Level Requisite ENG 4. Requisite: Test Credit of MTH 2R. Variable hours per week. MTH 3 ALGEBRA I (1-5 CR.) Covers the topics of Algebra I including real numbers, equations and inequalities, exponents, polynomials, Cartesian coordinate system, rational expressions, and applications. Develops the mathematical proficiency necessary for selected curriculum entrance. Reading Level Requisite ENG 4. Requisite: Test Credit of MTH 2T or MTH 2 completed. Credits not applicable toward graduation. Variable hours per week. MTH 4 ALGEBRA II (1-5 CR.) Expands upon the topics of Algebra I including rational expressions, radicals, and exponents, quadratic equations, systems of equations, and applications. Develops the mathematical proficiency necessary for selected curriculum entrance. Reading Level Requisite ENG 4. Requisite: Test Credit of MTH 3T/4T/DVS and a "C" in high school Algebra I or II; or MTH 3 completed. Credits not applicable toward graduation. Variable hours per week. MTH 6 DEVELOPMENTAL GEOMETRY (1-5 CR.) Covers topics in Euclidean geometry including similarity and congruency, plane and solid figures, right triangles, parallel and perpendicular lines, constructions, and applications. Develops the mathematical proficiency necessary for selected curriculum entrance. Reading Level Requisite ENG 4.
