Advanced ceramics is your chance to make the work you want, and to choose the line of research that interests you. In this course there will be a strong emphasis on self-directed research. We will discuss the kind of work you want to make, why you want to make it and I will do my best to facilitate you in doing so. Students are expected to mix their own glazes and fire their own kilns. We will discuss an array of contemporary makers, ideas, and issues from which to draw in the development of your work and career. Feedback from one another is highly important and everyone is expected to contribute to critique and discussion. Prerequisite ART330. (4)
