Topics include the history, issues, and problems of psychological and educational assessment; test design and evaluation; an overview of tests of intelligence, academic achievement, interests, and aptitude; ecological assessment of classroom behavior; and a review of ethical issues. Consideration will be given to assessing the needs of exceptional children and ways of critically reviewing such assessment for purposes of educational decision-making.
