Discussions and assignments focus on the relationship of manufacturing processes and materials selection to design intent, as well as related technology application in product design such as virtual reality, additive manufacturing, etc. Through the practical projects, students can become familiar with the basic characteristics of the material, they will also have a deeper understanding of the main processing methods. Students will apply their digital skills in industry related applications such as mold making, vacuum forming, 3D printing, and CNC milling.
