3.00 Credits
Duquesne University

Although the workshop highlights the issues of adult survivors of early childhood trauma, especially sexual abuse and other mal- treatment, issues relevant to other post-traumatic stress-related disorders with adults and children are included. This workshop is aimed at the interests of advanced graduate students, as well as the interests of clinicians who are already working in the field. This course builds upon the theoretical know- ledge base acquired in GCNED 556 and 557/557L. It is designed as a laboratory experience, and it aims to provide students with an opportunity to incorporate theoretical and philosophical counseling positions and to begin practicing the techniques of counseling individuals who have been traumatized.
