In this introductory course, students will utilize their digital cameras to explore photography as a fine art medium, with vast potential for their own creative expression. Through a technical, formal and conceptual treatment of photography, students will gain a fundamental understanding of how to take a good photograph, how to see the world around them as if through the lens of a camera, and how personal expression has been explored in the history of photography. This course in creative arts will provide students with an opportunity to develop integrative skills that include problem solving, critical analysis, and artistic expression. No prerequisites.
