Students examine the organization and architecture of computer systems through study of the logical and engineering principles governing the internal operations of the computer. Topics include gates, circuits, combinational logic, sequential logic, computer arithmetic, control unit and arithmetic logic unit, memory, and an introduction to assembly language.
