Fall Contemporary theatre encompasses a wide range of approaches, from the collective experiments in the 1960s (e.g., Living Theatre, Open Theatre) to Robert Wilson’s “operas” anthe mixed media performances of Ping Chong and Meredith Monk. Students study the works of several contemporary theatre artists, attend perf o rmances, and meet selected artists working with new forms in New York theatre. Taught in New York City.
