Considers the various causes of past and present climate change and how to predict future changes. It is also designed to prepare students for further studies in geography, cartography, and geospatial technologies. Topics include map making and coordinate systems, issues regarding map scale and projections, navigation and way finding using maps, techniques of thematic mapping, introductions to remote sensing and geographic information systems, emerging mapping technologies and applications, and using internet mapping services.
