Students will learn how to plan, organize, implement and operate a support system and apply this knowledge and skill through actual participation in a help desk environment. This course provides a comprehensive introduction to the JAVA programming language, its object-oriented features and the main classes required to build useful Java applications and applets. Java has all of the attributes expected of a modern programming language, such as object orientation, multithreading, and a class library for handling facilities such as the graphical user interface and networking. The course includes a thorough grounding in the language, together with important feature such as user interface design, exception handling and multithreading.
