An introdcution to film-based photography as well as the creation and manipulation of digital images. The course will include the principles of black and white photography including use of a camera, film processing, and printing. Digital photographic techniques covered will include scanning and editing of photographic images in Adobe Photoshop. Design and composition will be stressed. Students will be expected to have a 35mm camera. Students will be expected to purchase additional materials needed to complete class projects. The course will consist of two lecture sessions and one two-hour lab.
