The Janitorial and Custodial Maintenance Program under Workforce Community Development of Niagara County Community College will provide individuals with competitive and marketable job skills in the field of commercial and industrial cleaning services. There will be a focus on the proper use and care of cleaning agents, supplies and equipment for general cleaning techniques, restroom care, window and wall washing, basic floor and carpet care. Attention given to job vocabulary, organization and planning. Special emphasis placed on grooming, attitude and work habits to aid in finding and retaining employment. REA I - Real Estate Appraisal Basics - This course will present methods used in the collection and analysis of data needed to estimate the value of residential properties using the three approaches to value: cost, income, and sales comparisons. Following successful completion of the course, candidates will fulfill the requirements for RA and MRA designations. Key topics include appraising as a profession, purpose of an appraisal, influences that affect value, site evaluation, highest and best use, gross rent multiplier, all forms of depreciation, sales comparison techniques, and all types and styles of reports.
