What's Alzheimers and Dementia? provides an in-depth look at dementia and Alzheimer's disease, including the symptoms, diagnostic process, treatments, and how the stages of the disease progress. Enhancing communication in Dementia Care provides practical techniques for communicating with the person who has dementia. Managing Challenging Behaviors in Dementia Care provides step-by step instruction by coaching caregivers on how to respond to challenging behaviors. Attendees will learn the triggers for potential behavior challenges and techniques to solve them including the Three Step Model. Dementia Sensitivity for Professionals will better equip staff to respond to the needs of the person by helping to provide isnight into the person with the disease and respond in ways that reduce staff stress and enhance the quality of life for the inidividual. Pre-registration is required for this session.
