CS 263: Advanced Data Structures

This course continues the study of data structures and algorithms begun in CSC 116. It covers the general concepts of modularity, abstract data types, inheritance, dynamic memory allocation, recursion, backtracking, polymorphism, templates, and complexity of algorithms. Topics also include specific data structures, algorithms and techniques, including multi-dimensional arrays, stacks, queues, single and double linked lists, general and binary trees (including Btrees), a variety of sorting algorithms, graphs and a selection of graph algorithms. Laboratory fee. Prerequisite CS 116 is required.
