WRTG 43800: Writing the Poetry Chapbook

An advanced poetry-writing workshop, in which students engage in intensive work developing their emerging voices. This course provides students with the opportunity to compose a chapbook. Special attention is given to the arrangement of the poems in the collection, to the manuscript¿s pacing, and to thematic and stylistic cohesion. Students will write a minimum of 25 pages of thematically connected, polished poetry suitable for publication. Prerequisites: WRTG 33800; junior standing. 3 credits. (F, IRR)
