Students and faculty will collaborate to establish the content of the course. Students must produce work that demonstrates the ability to independently investigate and critically analyze issues of interest. Issues may include, but are not limited to, topics addressed in the senior projects as well as future educational and professional goals.

Students learn to reflect critically on the strengths and limitations of alternative ways of knowing, and the application of such knowledge to research and practice. Prerequisite(s)/Course Notes: This course is open to first-year and sophomore students only. The divisional category and topics of the course vary from year to year. This course carries distribution credit (for exceptions, see New College B.A. Degree Requirements, A.7.a, note 3.
