This class is corequisite with SEYS 570b¿574b so as to enrich the student teacher¿s understanding of curriculum and assessment issues within an actual classroom. Special topics include strategies for preparing students for Standardized Examinations, ways of integrating innovative curricula and technology in instruction, and assessment strategies for diverse student populations, including those with special needs.

The literacy demands of content curricula in secondary schools will also be critically examined.
