SEYS 575: Student Teaching in Art for Pre-K¿12.

Supervised observation and student teaching at the elementary and secondary levels, plus a weekly seminar at the college. Students will be assigned the equivalent of 20 six-hour days (120 hours) at the elementary (Pre-K¿6) level, and 50 three-hour days (150 hours) at the secondary level (7¿12) under the guidance of a cooperating teacher and a college-based supervisor. Students are expected to prepare daily lesson plans and will develop and maintain student teaching portfolios.
