Includes a study of the literature, music, theater, and cultural trends. The course focuses on the cultural production of Chicanos, Cuban-Americans, Dominican- Americans, Puerto Ricans, and others. This course introduces students to grammar of the Spanish language, with emphasis on the syntactical and semantic features. The course is directed at students who have already acquired a reasonably good level of proficiency in Spanish and who wish to further consolidate, develop, and improve this proficiency. It enhances student's knowledge and comprehension of Spanish grammar and develops the ability to apply such grammatical knowledge in the spoken and written language.
