A rigorous treatment of modern statistical methods with reference to their application in business research and decision making. Topics include descriptive statistics, discrete and continuous probability distributions, theory of estimation, testing of hypotheses, analysis of variance, regression and correlation analysis. Computer statistical packages are used. This course is waived for the student who has completed three credits of undergraduate statistics with a grade of “B” or better. Offered during late spring or summer sessions. This course is not open to undergraduate students with majors in the School of Business.

Identifies and analyzes marketing problems in business ans public institutions. Weighs the effect of environment, competition, society, the economy and the media on marketing objectives and strategies. Emphasizes the total marketing package, including market segmentation, promotion, advertising, pricing, packaging and distribution. This course is waived for the stuent who has completed three credits of undergraduate marketing with a grade of "B" or better. Offered during late spring or summer sessions. This course is not open to undergraduate students with majors in the School of Business.

An integrated analysis of the development of management thought, theories and functions. Provides a broad review contemporary American management thought against a background of the economic, social, political, ethical and global climate. This course is waived for the studnt who has completed three credits of undergraduate management with a grade of "B" or better. Offered during late spring or summer sessions. This course is not open to undergraduate students with majors in the School of Business.

Financial decisions of a firm are examined and policies are developed for managing assets. Topics include asset management, working capital management, short- and longterm financing, capital budgeting, dividend policy and financial decisions under conditions of risk and uncertainty. Case problems provide practical applications of subject material. This course is waived for the student who has completed three credits of undergraduate finance with a grade of “B” or better. Prerequisites: AC476, BU478. Offered during late spring or summer sessions. This course is not open to undergraduate students with majors in the School of Business.

The capstone course in business, which is taken in the student’s final semester. Uses case-study and business-simulation methods. Topics center on key areas of management, accounting, marketing, economics, law and finance. Consideration is given to the ethical, global, environmental and technological issues that shape business decision making and policy development. Prerequisites: completion of busines core courses and senior status. 3 credits.

3.00 Credits
The course is a study of ethical behavior in business, and establishes the philosophical foundation of moral reasoning and ethical judgment. It examines moral theories and approaches to business ethics, and applies a conceptual construct in the analysis and discussion of selected case studies and current corporate issues. It provides students with the general ethical underpinning of professional conduct, and prepares them to understand the codes and rules of their own profession. Emphasis will be placed on a team approach to problem-solving, as well as active class participation and regular written assignments. This course is waived for the student who has completed three credits of undergraduate business ethics with a grade of "B" or higher.

This course will continue a discussion students started at the undergraduate level about the good skills a manager should possess, and how those skills should be used. Building upon lessons learned in BU313 or corresponding course, students will hone their communication and interpersonal skills, discuss the ability to motivate and to manage change, experiment to better understand their ethical/spiritual orientation through role-playing, etc. Prerequisite: BU503.

The lab complements BU691, Corporate Strategy and Planning. It integrates accounting, marketing, finance, and management concepts and skills acquired in prerequisite graduate level classes through an industry simulation. It provides a venue to hone teamwork and leadership skills in order to collaboratively develop a winning corporate strategy. Offered fall, spring, and summer semesters.
