The advanced study of sonographic physics and instrumentation with emphasis on Doppler instrumentation, spectral analysis, color flow imaging, image characteristics and artifacts, quality assurance, bioeffects and safety considerations. Didactic content will be applied in corequisite scanning sessions. Fours hours of didactic instruction per week for the first eight weeks of the semester.
