Examination of a variety of methods and materials for teaching reading and developing literacy. Emphasis placed on theoretical foundations for reading strategies, differentiated instruction, classroom set-up, and management of the literacy block. Ten hours of tutoring for non-degree seeking certification candidates. Twenty hours of tutoring for master's degree candidates.
