HA 421: Health Care Finance

This course provides an overview of financial systems. Selected health care financial management concepts including payment incentives, integrated systems, cost management, pricing and marketing, productivity monitoring, insurance coding, and quality improvement will be studied as they relate to various types of health care organizations. Selected computer applications to demonstrate budgeting, forecasting, data base integration and variance analysis will be used. Prereq: HP 211.
