LEC 3 hrs Pre-req.: ENG 041, ENG 042 or appropriate placement test score This course examines the structures of the religious imagination and its sacred stories and how they shape our sense of self and society. Themes covered include Creation, Sacred Trees, the Sun and Moon, the Hero, the Trickster, the Warrior, goddesses, the Lovers, the Healer, the Teacher, and the End of the World. Greek mythology and examples from ancient and contemporary culture are used. Projects of making mandalas, masks, drawings, poems and dream accounts are included.

Major topical discussions include electric fields, direct current circuits, magnetic fields, and alternating current circuits.

Credit will be given for either POL 110 or LST 110 This course provides an examination of the historical basis and the current structure of the American legal system, including the legislative, judicial and executive functions. The course also provides introduction to the substantive and procedural aspects of law, including contracts and business, real and personal property, torts and negligence, criminal law, family law, and wills and estates. Ethical responsibilities are stressed.

3 cr. LEC 3 hrs. Co-req.: ENG 041, ENG 042 or appropriate placement test score This is an introductory course in the theory and practice of state and local government. Special emphasis is placed on the administration of selected New Jersey government agencies, with an overview of contemporary political problems and skills necessary for entering the administrative and paralegal areas of government.
