Prereq: current unencumbered RN licensure. Assists RNs with the transition into baccalaureate education. Introduces nursing philosophy, theories, and the core concepts that form the framework of the B.S.N. curriculum. An adult teaching and learning approach provides flexibility and integrates existing knowledge and skills while emphasizing concepts relevant to nursing with a focus on critical thinking and decision making. Successful completion leads to eligibility for up to 42 hours of advanced placement credit. ISP only.
