Jazz literature from the swing era to the present will include bebop, rock, funk, fusion and blues. Prior knowledge of jazz improvisation not required. Open to trumpet, trombone, all saxophone, drum, bass, and guitar players with strong musical skills and good music reading abilities. The course may be repeated for credit up to seven quarters.
