Both popular fiction and classics are used in looking at how plot, characterization, setting, spectacle, and other aspects of storytelling change depending on whether the medium is the written word, the stage, or the screen. Adaptations that attempt to preserve significant parts of the original and ones that completely reword it will be reviewed.
