Covers an overview of the industry and processing environment, semiconductor materials and their properties, safety and contamination control, and manufacturing processes including wafer preparation, oxidation/diffusion/chemical vapor deposition, photolithography, engineering methods and quality control. Lecture 3 hours per week.
