Teaches singing, proper breath control, diction, and development of tone. Studies the standard vocal repertoire. One or two half-hour lessons per week; 4-8 hours practice required. Private lessons are available for either 1 or 2 hours of credit per semester. Students may take a one-half hour lesson for 1 credit or a 1-hour lesson for 2 credits per week per semester. All courses in applied music may be repeated one time. Music majors may repeat these courses up to 8 hours with special permission.
