An introduction to journalism, with emphasis on news and feature writing and copy editing. Topics include American newspaper history, elements of libel, copyediting symbols, Associated Press style, news leads, inverted pyramid format, interviewing, attributing quotations, writing speech and meeting stories, and reading print and online newspaper critically. 4 SH.
