Semester-long practicum on behind-the-scenes work in theatre processes and production. Building on previous experience, enhanced participation in shop and production run crews will develop the students’ understanding of the design and technical process of theatre. Weekly themed class sessions support theory and examine questions on topics and readings. Prerequisite: 2 credits of TR225. Fall and spring semesters. Repeatable for credit. 1 credit.

This course is designed for the advanced dancer who has had a consistent background of dance study. This course develops an in-depth analysis of personal artistic growth as a performer, choreographer, and instructor of dance. Student must physically demonstrate advanced skills and processes of dance through selfdirection, self-discipline, and self-evaluation in dance. Prerequisite: TR240. Fall semester, even-numbered years. 3 credits. Fee.

Building on the student’s previous stage experiences, this performance course provides practical application of theatre music and dance studies and skills to professional level in the presentation of a play, musical, or dance performance. Students will complete the processes of auditions, advanced text analysis, research, professional preparation, intensive rehearsal responsibility, and live performances of a mainstage Seton Hill Theatre production. Prerequisite: TR255. Fall and spring semesters. Permission required. Repeatable for credit. 0, 1, or 2 credits.
