Topics covered include solutions; thermodynamics; kinetics; equilibrium in gaseous systems; acid-base equilibrium; solubility equilibrium; redox reactions; electrochemistry. Laboratory experiments demonstrate many of the principles presented in lecture and allow students to continue to practices basic laboratory techniques, careful observation and the rigorous treatment of experimental data.
