Students will study the different forms of creative writing, particularly poetry and short fiction for style and theme, in order to produce their own individual works. Through the class, students will create a portfolio of original works of poetry and fiction pieces. The process of publishing personal writing is discussed, and students who wish may undertake original work for possible publication in a student-sponsored project.
